Have been in here quite a lot since I moved offices and went vegan. They sell some pretty good vegan convenience food and quick-to-make lunches. Winner!
I have a loyalty card for H&B but never really get any vouchers in. Last time I popped in for some Violife Mozzarella and the girl kindly gave me a half price deal because of this. Yay!
They sell Fry’s Family foods, which I love! Always stock up on these in here. The freezer selection is really good, not the cheapest but they often have their ‘buy one get one half price’ offer on.
Massive selection of herbal and fruit teas, vitamins, supplements etc.
They have a fridge just as you go in with coconut waters, juices, milks and other things. Handy! Then there’s a further fridge at the back with meat alternatives, dairy alternatives etc too.
The only grumble is that sometimes the queue can be quite long with only one person on the till. Tend not to go in here when I’m in a hurry.
Love having this so close by, can’t wait to start getting some vouchers through.

COCONUT OIL!
I am soooooo happy! I managed to get 2×350g jars of cold pressed, organic, raw coconut oil for a TENNER! Stoked!
The assistant was VERY helpful, letting me know I could get another free if I signed up for their wee card (I only intend EVER buying coconut oil with this wee card! Lol) but I was happy she advised me…
I’ve recently become a coconut oil NUT-so this deal, getting 2−4−1 is great!
The Sauchiehall St store is V convenient to work and just up the road there is bike parking, should you need it… I do!
I would definitely recommend popping in here to see if they have healthy/organic versions of everyday munchies and shampoo etc… Weirdly though, they don’t do ANY diabetic choccie substitutes, which was really strange to me, but hey ho, I just bought the person some Thorntons diabetic chops instead!

The other day, after a long cycle, I was thirsty and passing Holland & Barrett, so I decided to pop in to grab a drink. I asked the friendly girl at the door if she would keep an eye on my bike for me, as I was only going to be a minute and, when I was having trouble propping it up, she offered to hold it for me! How nice is that?!
I dashed in, grabbed a can from the fridge and paid promptly, while the smiling sales assistant assured me that it was no problem at all, as I thanked her for being so helpful. It’s a little thing but it makes all the difference when shop staff are just NICE PEOPLE. It seems simple and should be the easiest thing in the world, but often it isn’t, so it made my day when this cheerful girl happily held my beloved bike for me as I made a speedy purchase.
I do like Holland & Barrett in general, as I love a good superfood and I’m always up to my eyeballs in vitamins. It can be a bit expensive at times, though, so keep an eye out for sales and special offers, which are ideal opportunities for stocking up on supplements.

They have good offers here buy two and get the third for a penny but that’s no use if you only need one.
They do have a loyalty card where you collect points for all your purchases.
Nice staff, l did see that they do have a freezer section at the back about the size of a household one that sells diabetic ice cream with a few other bits and bobs

I’ve been coming to Holland and Barrett ever since I was a kid in School, getting crazy stuff to chill me out at exam times.
I still go for hayfever medicines and alternative medicines for other things (I dont like going to the GP).
They occasionally do good sale/promotions where I top up on a billion multivitamins at a time, otherwise it can be quite pricy.
They do alot of health food and muscle building protein shake sort of jazz.
My girlfriend loves it because they do Finnish liquorice stuff you cant get anywhere else.
Except Finland. Probably.

I really like Holland and Barrett. Although it is expensive and so you couldn’t continually stock up here it is the first place I visit when I’ve been feeling a little run down and am attempting to boost my health and wellbeing with various vitamins or minerals or home remedies.
It’s also handy when seeking a slightly healthier snack such as those yummy sesame sticks or those panda liquorice sweets (mmmm) or even pom-bear crisps (I did say slightly healthier).
The staff are wonderful — so friendly and know their stuff.
Oh and for those beauty/pampering addicts, I’ll let you in on a little secret — dead sea mud mask. It’s slightly more foutery than other such masks but it is so worth it. Your skin with feel smooooooooooooth. I often nip in to stock up when I need a little bit of pampering and tlc.

Want to beef up those electrolytes, crunch those calcium deficiencies, chow down on some free range organic Brazil nuts and drown yourself in echinaccia of the dried, capsulated or liquid variety then this is your place. Kinda like the McDonald’s of the health food world, this place offers all the bits and bobs at fairly decent prices.
To be honest, I’m kind of surprised that this place has stayed here for so long considering its location on on of the busiest streets in Glasgow and obviously holding a real prime location.
Oh!, one thing… they sell one of the strangest on strange items i have ever seen in my entire life of shopping, its… wait for it… Snail Gel. Now, if like me your wondering if this is gel made from snails or, possibly less likely, gel for snails, then sorry, i’m unable to divulge this information. I would have tried to find out, however i was to busy laughing uproariously and being ushered out by my embarrassed wife.
Holland and Barrett, come for the health food, stay for the snail gel.

This branch of Holland and Barratt is convieniently placed in the City centre, and easily accessible by car, train (Queen Street), bus or tube (Buchanan Street). Although it is small they stock a variety of health and wellness products, such as Echinacea, St John’s Wort, Gingko Biloa and Milk Thistle and have regular promotions and special offers. The staff are polite and helpful, and you can easily fit a pram or wheelchair down the aisles. They also stock juices and blended drinks such as Purdeys, as well as healthly breakfast cereals and nut spreads. Well worth visiting if they have a promotion on.
